Movement and body work have been shaping my life. I discovered my passion for classical ballet as a child and later danced at the Hamburg State Opera, the Grand Théâtre de Genève and the Zurich Opera House. After my first serious dance injury, I discovered Pilates for myself. This allowed me to stay in shape during the convalescence weeks, but also to make progress and get back into my pointe shoes quickly. I was convinced by the effectiveness of this method!
That's why I completed extensive training at STOTT PILATES®, which took me to various Pilates studios in North America and Europe. I learned the entire repertoire of Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels as well as the anatomy of the body and its movement patterns. I have been a certified Pilates trainer since 2005. I then completed training in the Gyrotonics and Gyrokinesis technique, which focuses on fluid and harmonious movements and combines very well with Pilates.
As a mother of four, I am very interested in the changes that the female body goes through during and after pregnancy. In addition to my personal experiences, I have attended numerous workshops and further training courses on this topic. In the last two years I have also become increasingly interested in the topic of scoliosis.
I am convinced that individual training is the best way to benefit from the Pilates method. In my studio I teach exercises and movement sequences that are optimally adapted to the needs and abilities of my customers. Because I can focus on each individual, the sessions take place in an ideal environment for high quality workouts. This develops a deep sensitivity of the different parts of the body. Movement control, coordination and breathing ensure high efficiency. Through continuous and regular training, the goals can be achieved confidently. Quick and positive results are a great motivation to move more and live healthier.
For me, movement and a good body awareness are the prerequisites for a healthy and fulfilling life. I have often observed how Pilates enables people, regardless of their age, fitness level, or physical limitations, to improve somatic consciousness, increase strength and flexibility, as well as reduce stress. Pilates suits everybody, and it is never too late to get started.
